PAPUA - On a bright morning in Sinak District, Papua, a heartwarming scene unfolded in the courtyard of SD Inpres Sinak. The camouflage uniforms of Satgas Yonif 700/WYC blended harmoniously with the simple clothes of students, teachers, and local residents. Together, they cleaned the school, creating a comfortable and hopeful learning environment, Thursday (3/20/2025).
More Than Just Community Service, A True Commitment to the Future
Beyond picking up trash and tidying up the yard, this initiative is a genuine expression of the TNI’s dedication to the education of Papuan children. Under the leadership of Wadansatgas 700/WYC, Captain Inf Finza, soldiers diligently swept the yard, repainted the school’s dull walls, and repaired essential facilities.
“We aim to provide a sense of security and comfort for students and teachers in their learning environment, ” said Captain Inf Finza with enthusiasm.
“This activity also seeks to instill the values of environmental awareness and cleanliness.”
Amidst the efforts, Sergeant Hermawan, a dedicated non-commissioned officer from the TNI Post, took the opportunity to educate the students. He passionately shared lessons on discipline, environmental responsibility, and the importance of education.
“We want to inspire and motivate the students to pursue their dreams, ” said Sergeant Hermawan, his face lighting up as he observed the children’s enthusiasm.
A Bond Beyond the Uniform
Throughout the school grounds, cheerful smiles from the students illuminated the atmosphere. They learned not just about cleanliness, but also about togetherness and solidarity. Their small hands eagerly joined in, proving that there is no gap between the uniform and the heart.
“Thank you, Mr. TNI. Our school is now clean and beautiful, ” said one student, eyes sparkling with gratitude.
This was not merely a routine cleanup, but an investment in the future. In a region where challenges persist, the presence of the TNI brings renewed hope for Papuan children. They serve not only as protectors of security but also as friends and mentors to the nation’s next generation.
Meanwhile, Pangkoops Habema, Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, emphasized that in Papua—a land of great potential—the TNI stands not only as a defender of sovereignty but also as a builder of civilization.
“They are unsung heroes, selflessly dedicating their service to the progress and peace of the nation, ” he stated.
