YAHUKIMO - The Yonif 1 Marine Task Force (Satgas Pamtas Yonif 1 Marinir) continues to show its commitment to strengthening ties with the community in District Dekai, Yahukimo, Papua Highlands. On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the troops took time during their regular patrol to engage with locals and provide essential supplies, including food packages (sargal), to the residents.
In an atmosphere filled with warmth and camaraderie, the soldiers conversed with the villagers about their daily lives, fostering deeper connections with the local community.
Task Force Commander, Lt. Col. Mar Siswanto, emphasized that Social Communication (Komsos) is an essential part of the task force's mission to establish good relations with the community while also understanding their needs. He pointed out that such efforts contribute to accelerating development and ensuring a peaceful environment in Papua.
Meanwhile, Habema Military Operations Commander, Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, reaffirmed that such activities will continue throughout all regions where TNI personnel serve. "Togetherness and strong relationships with the community are the key to building a brighter future for Papua, " he stressed.
